STEWARDSHIP 2013 God provides "every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work." II Corinthians 9:6 The concept of Christian Stewardship and total commitment are Orthodox! It is not simply giving of our time or our talents or our treasures (money). It is, inclusive of all three! Stewardship is koinonia….it is fellowship….sharing together in the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Stewardship is also diakonia….serving Christ. Each of us has different talents, and we must offer our services and our talents to Christ. And thirdly, Stewardship is martyria….witnessing for Christ. The Stewardship Commitment Program of our blessed Parish of Panagia is the result of believing in our Church and wanting to support and perpetuate its mission. In this way, we respond to the call of our Lord, to truly be the caretakers of His Home. Through your stewardship gift of support, you are the stewards, the managers of the affairs of God’s Church on earth. Giving of our time and talents are simply gifts back to God for what He has really given to us in the first place. And giving of our treasures (money) is an expression of our love for Christ in the world, so that our future may be blessed as each of us has already been blessed. In this year of 2013, we ask that you consider making your pledge commitment to your Parish of Panagia and towards the ministries that She offers to all! You may secure a pledge card/material by calling the Church Office (773.626.3114), or by printing the 2013 pledge card that is online on this website. We thank you for the commitment of love and support which you have always shown to our blessed Panagia and Christ’s Church.
